About Malegra Pro 100 mg

Malegra Pro 100 mg is a prescription tablet containing 100 mg of sildenafil citrate, made by Sunrise Remedies, used for erectile dysfunction in adult men. “Pro” usually stands for “professional”, a label Indian manufacturers give to sildenafil tablets designed to dissolve quickly in the mouth. It carries the same drug and the same maximum dose as ordinary Malegra 100 mg. Like other Malegra products, it has no license in the UK, EU or US.

How is a “professional” tablet different?

Standard sildenafil tablets are film-coated, swallowed and absorbed through the gut. Quick-dissolving versions break down in the mouth and are then swallowed with saliva, and a small share of the drug may pass through the lining of the mouth. Manufacturers claim a faster start, but no robust independent studies show a meaningful difference in onset compared with a standard tablet. The strength, the daily limit and every safety rule are identical.

How to take Malegra Pro 100 mg

1. Read the leaflet in your pack. If it says sublingual, place one tablet under the tongue and let it dissolve completely without chewing, then swallow.
2. If the pack describes a standard tablet, swallow it whole with a glass of water.
3. Take it 30–60 minutes before sexual activity; the effect can last about 4–5 hours.
4. Avoid a large, high-fat meal just beforehand, as it slows absorption.
5. Take only one dose in 24 hours, and no other sildenafil product that day.

Because 100 mg is the top labeled dose, it suits men who have already used sildenafil and found 50 mg well tolerated but not strong enough. First-time users normally start lower.

How does sildenafil work?

Sildenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor. When a man is aroused, nerves release nitric oxide, which raises cGMP and relaxes the blood vessels of the penis so blood can flow in. PDE5 switches that signal off; sildenafil keeps it going for longer. Sexual stimulation is still needed.

Safety: who must not take it

• Men using any nitrate (GTN spray, isosorbide tablets, nicorandil) or amyl nitrite poppers, since the pairing can drop blood pressure to dangerous levels.
• Men taking riociguat, or another PDE5 inhibitor such as tadalafil or vardenafil.
• Anyone with unstable angina, severe heart failure, a recent heart attack or stroke, very low blood pressure or severe liver impairment.
• Men who have lost sight from NAION (reduced blood supply to the optic nerve) or who have retinitis pigmentosa.

Doctors may lower the dose for men taking alpha-blockers, ritonavir or other strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, or with severe kidney disease.

What are the side effects?

Headache, flushing, indigestion, a stuffy nose, dizziness and a blue or blurred tint to vision are the effects most often reported, and they usually wear off within a few hours. A tablet dissolved in the mouth may leave a bitter taste. Call for urgent help if an erection lasts over 4 hours, or if you notice sudden sight or hearing loss, chest pain or signs of a severe allergic reaction.
