Suhagra Force 50 mg is a prescription tablet made by Cipla that combines sildenafil citrate 50 mg with dapoxetine 30 mg, used for men who have both erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. Sildenafil helps with erections, while dapoxetine, a short-acting SSRI, helps to delay ejaculation.

Dapoxetine on its own is licensed in the UK and much of Europe for premature ejaculation in men aged 18–64, but it is not approved in the US. How does Suhagra Force work?
The two ingredients act on different problems. Sildenafil blocks the PDE5 enzyme, helping blood vessels in the penis relax and fill in response to arousal. Dapoxetine briefly raises serotonin in the nerve pathways that control ejaculation, lengthening the time before climax. Unlike antidepressant SSRIs, dapoxetine is absorbed and cleared quickly, so it is taken only when needed rather than every day.
How to take Suhagra Force 50 mg
- Swallow one tablet whole with a full glass of water 1–3 hours before sex; around an hour beforehand suits the sildenafil component.
- Never take more than one tablet in 24 hours, and do not add separate sildenafil, dapoxetine or other ED tablets.
- It can be taken with or without food, though a heavy meal may delay the erection effect.
- Avoid alcohol: with dapoxetine it raises the chance of fainting and injury.
Fainting and dizziness
Dapoxetine can cause light-headedness and occasionally fainting, sometimes preceded by nausea, sweating or palpitations. Sildenafil also lowers blood pressure a little, so the combination adds to this risk. If you feel faint, sit or lie down with your head low until it passes, and do not drive or use machinery. Being dehydrated makes fainting more likely, so drink enough fluid.
What are the side effects?
Common effects include headache, nausea, dizziness, flushing, diarrhea, blocked nose, trouble sleeping and indigestion. Seek urgent help for fainting with injury, an erection lasting more than four hours, sudden loss of vision or hearing, chest pain, a seizure, or unusual agitation or mood changes.
Who should not take it?
- Men using any nitrate (GTN, isosorbide) or poppers, or taking riociguat.
- Men on antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclics), MAOIs or within 14 days of stopping one, or on thioridazine, lithium, linezolid, tramadol, triptans or St John’s wort, because of the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Men taking strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir or clarithromycin.
- Men with significant heart disease (heart failure, rhythm or conduction problems, a recent heart attack or stroke), a history of fainting, moderate or severe liver impairment, mania, bipolar disorder, severe depression or poorly controlled epilepsy.
- Men under 18 or over 64, and women.
Alpha-blockers and moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors such as erythromycin, fluconazole, diltiazem and verapamil also need a doctor’s review.
