About Kamagra Oral Jelly
Kamagra Oral Jelly is a prescription oral jelly containing sildenafil citrate 100 mg per 5 g sachet, made by Ajanta Pharma, used to treat erectile dysfunction. It is one of the most widely recognized sildenafil jellies, usually supplied as a weekly box of seven flavored sachets. Kamagra is an Indian brand and is not licensed in the UK, EU or US.
Jelly or tablet: what is the difference?
| Kamagra Oral Jelly | Standard tablet | |
|---|---|---|
| Dose | 100 mg per sachet | 25, 50 or 100 mg |
| Water needed | No | Yes |
| Onset | About 30–60 minutes | About 30–60 minutes |
| Dose flexibility | Fixed at 100 mg | Several strengths |
The jelly is convenient and pleasant to take, but it offers only the maximum labeled dose. If you need a lower strength, a tablet is the accurate choice.
How does Kamagra Oral Jelly work?
Sildenafil works on the enzyme PDE5 in the penis. When you are aroused, cGMP relaxes the blood vessels; PDE5 normally breaks it down quickly. By slowing that breakdown, sildenafil helps blood flow in and stay long enough for sex.
How to use it
- Open one sachet 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity.
- Squeeze all of the jelly into your mouth, or onto a spoon, and swallow.
- Take it on an empty stomach or after something light for quicker action.
- One sachet per 24 hours is the maximum; do not add tablets or other jellies.
How long does it last?
Roughly four to five hours. Its effect fades as the body clears the drug, so there is no benefit in taking it much more than an hour ahead.
Pack sizes
Kamagra Oral Jelly is sold in packs of 90, 120, 150 and 300 sachets, from $134.
Side effects
Some men get a headache, a red face, indigestion, a blocked nose or dizziness. Color vision can briefly change. Seek emergency treatment if an erection lasts longer than four hours, or if you have chest pain, fainting, or sudden sight or hearing loss.
Who should not use it?
Do not use Kamagra Oral Jelly if you take nitrates in any form, use poppers, or take riociguat. It is also unsuitable for men with severe heart or liver disease, very low blood pressure, or a recent stroke or heart attack. Men with diabetes should remember the jelly is sweetened. Tell your doctor about alpha-blockers, HIV protease inhibitors, strong antifungals and macrolide antibiotics, which can raise sildenafil levels or lower blood pressure.
Storage
Keep unopened sachets below 86°F (30°C) and out of direct sunlight. Keep them where children cannot reach, as they resemble confectionery.
Frequently asked questions
Are all the flavors the same strength?
Yes. Each sachet contains the same 100 mg dose whatever its flavor.
Can I refrigerate the jelly?
It is not necessary. Room temperature is fine; just avoid heat.
Are there other forms of Kamagra?
Yes: Kamagra Chewable 100 mg, Kamagra Effervescent 100 mg and the standard tablets in the sildenafil category.
