Description
Same active ingredient (sildenafil) as Viagra®, the US brand. Sildigra 100 mg is an Indian brand, made and licensed in India.
About Sildigra 100 mg
Sildigra 100 mg is a prescription tablet containing 100 mg of sildenafil citrate, supplied by Dharam Distributors, used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It is the highest labeled single dose of sildenafil, intended for men who have tried 50 mg without enough effect and who coped well with it.
Like the rest of the Sildigra line, it is an Indian generic made for markets outside Europe and North America; the brand holds no license in the UK, EU or US. Your doctor or pharmacist can confirm whether sildenafil is appropriate.
How does it work?
An erection depends on blood vessels in the penis relaxing in response to arousal. Sildenafil helps by inhibiting phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which normally switches that relaxation off. With PDE5 held back, the natural response to stimulation is stronger and more sustained. Nothing happens without arousal, and the tablet is not an aphrodisiac.
Why 100 mg is not a starting dose
Doctors usually begin with 50 mg, or 25 mg for some men, and move up only if needed. Headache, flushing and visual changes become more frequent at the top dose. The 100 mg strength is normally avoided at first in these situations:
| Situation | Usual labeled advice |
|---|---|
| Aged over 65 | Consider starting at 25 mg |
| Liver impairment or severe kidney disease | Start at 25 mg |
| Taking erythromycin, ketoconazole or itraconazole | Start at 25 mg |
| Taking ritonavir | Not advised; at most 25 mg in 48 hours |
| Taking an alpha-blocker | Be stable on it first, then start at 25 mg |
How to take Sildigra 100 mg
Swallow one tablet with water about 60 minutes before sexual activity; the window of effect usually spans half an hour to four hours after the dose. Taking it after a heavy, fatty meal slows absorption. Use no more than one tablet in any 24-hour period, and do not add a second dose if the first seems weak.
What are the side effects?
- Common: headache, redness of the face, indigestion, stuffy nose, back or muscle aches and dizziness.
- Visual: a bluish tint, blurred sight and glare, usually brief.
- Urgent: an erection that will not subside after four hours, sudden loss of vision or hearing, chest pain, fainting, or swelling of the face and throat.
Stop and seek help if you feel chest pain, severe dizziness or nausea during sex.
Who should not take it?
Never combine sildenafil with nitrates, including GTN sprays and tablets, isosorbide and amyl nitrite (“poppers”), or with riociguat. It is unsuitable after a recent heart attack or stroke, with blood pressure below about 90/50 mmHg, with severe liver impairment, and in men with retinitis pigmentosa or previous NAION. Men with sickle cell disease, leukaemia, myeloma or a bent, scarred penis (Peyronie’s disease) need specialist advice because prolonged erections are more likely. It is not intended for women.

Frequently asked questions
Can I split a 100 mg tablet?
Only if your pharmacist confirms the tablet is designed to be divided. Sildigra 50 mg is the simpler way to take half the dose.
Are there faster-dissolving versions?
Yes: Sildigra CT 100 mg is chewable and Sildigra Professional 100 mg dissolves under the tongue. Pick one form, never two.
Can lifestyle changes help too?
Often. See our practical tips for erectile dysfunction and the erectile dysfunction range.
For general education only. Sildigra 100 mg is a prescription-strength medicine; a doctor should decide whether the maximum dose is appropriate for you.
