Description
Same active ingredient (sildenafil) as Viagra®, the US brand. Bluemen 50 mg is an Indian brand, made and licensed in India.
About Bluemen 50 mg
Bluemen 50 mg is a prescription tablet containing 50 mg of sildenafil citrate, made by RSM Enterprises, used to treat erectile dysfunction. Fifty milligrams is the recommended starting dose of sildenafil in official labeling, so this is the strength most men try first. Bluemen is manufactured in India and does not hold a UK, EU or US license; the licensed reference medicine with the same ingredient is Viagra.

How does sildenafil help an erection?
Erections rely on blood filling the spongy tissue of the penis. When you are aroused, nerve signals increase cGMP, which widens the arteries supplying that tissue. Sildenafil stops the PDE5 enzyme from clearing cGMP too quickly, so the extra blood flow is maintained. It does not raise libido and has no effect unless you are sexually stimulated.
How should I take Bluemen 50 mg?
Swallow one tablet whole with a glass of water, ideally an hour before you expect to have sex. Taking it on an empty stomach or after a light snack gives the most predictable timing; a large, greasy meal can push the onset back. Do not take a second tablet on the same day, even if the first did not seem to work.
Adjusting the dose
After a few attempts, your prescriber can judge whether 50 mg is right. If erections are still not firm enough and side effects are mild, the dose may go up to Bluemen 100 mg, which is the highest labeled dose. If you get troublesome headaches or dizziness, Bluemen 25 mg may suit you better.
Pack sizes
Sold in packs of 90, 120, 150 and 300 tablets, supplied in strips of 10, from $72.
What side effects can happen?
- Common: headache, warmth or redness of the face, indigestion, blocked nose.
- Sometimes: dizziness, back or muscle ache, blurred vision or a bluish tinge to colors.
- Seek emergency care for an erection that will not subside after four hours, sudden vision or hearing loss, chest pain, fainting, or swelling of the lips and face.
Medicines and conditions to mention to your doctor
Sildenafil must never be combined with any nitrate medicine, amyl nitrite (poppers) or riociguat. Your doctor also needs to know if you take alpha-blockers, other blood pressure tablets, erythromycin or clarithromycin, azole antifungals or HIV protease inhibitors, and whether you have heart disease, a past stroke, sickle cell disease, a bleeding disorder, a stomach ulcer or a curved penis (Peyronie’s disease).
Storage
Store at room temperature in the original packaging, protected from damp and out of the sight of children.
Frequently asked questions
What if Bluemen 50 mg does not work the first time?
That is common. Anxiety, tiredness and alcohol all play a part, so try it on four to six separate occasions before deciding it is ineffective.
Can I drink alcohol with it?
A drink or two is unlikely to cause problems, but heavier drinking lowers blood pressure further and makes erections harder.
Are there lifestyle changes that help?
Yes. Our article with practical tips for erectile dysfunction covers exercise, weight, smoking and sleep, and the sildenafil range lists every brand we stock.
