Description
Same active ingredient (sildenafil) as Viagra®, the US brand. Sildigra Soft 100 mg is an Indian brand, made and licensed in India.
About Sildigra Soft 100 mg
Sildigra Soft 100 mg is a prescription soft chewable tablet containing 100 mg of sildenafil citrate, supplied by Dharam Distributors, used for erectile dysfunction in men who need the full labeled dose. The flavored soft tablet breaks down easily in the mouth, so no glass of water is needed.
Sildigra is manufactured in India and does not carry a UK, EU or US license. Please confirm with a doctor or pharmacist that sildenafil is safe for you.
How does it work?
Sildenafil selectively blocks phosphodiesterase type 5. This enzyme normally breaks down cGMP, the messenger that keeps penile arteries relaxed during arousal. With more cGMP available, blood fills the erectile tissue more readily. After sex the erection subsides normally, and the medicine clears steadily, with a half-life of roughly three to five hours.
Comparing the Sildigra 100 mg forms
| Product | Form | How it is taken |
|---|---|---|
| Sildigra 100 mg | Standard tablet | Swallowed with water |
| Sildigra CT 100 mg | Chewable tablet | Chewed, then swallowed |
| Sildigra Professional 100 mg | Sublingual tablet | Dissolved under the tongue |
| Sildigra Soft 100 mg | Soft chewable | Chewed or softened on the tongue |
All four hold the same amount of sildenafil. Choose one form; combining them amounts to an overdose.
How to take Sildigra Soft 100 mg
Chew one tablet, or let it soften on your tongue, then swallow it about 30 minutes to an hour before sexual activity. It stays active for up to four or five hours. Avoid taking it straight after a rich meal. Do not repeat the dose within 24 hours, and never pair it with any other erectile dysfunction medicine.
Who should start lower?
100 mg is not a first dose for most men. Those aged 65 and over, men with liver disease or severe kidney impairment, and men on erythromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole or HIV medicines should usually begin at 25 mg under medical supervision. Sildigra Soft 50 mg is the lower soft option.
What are the side effects?
- Headache, flushing and indigestion are the most common.
- Nasal congestion, dizziness, muscle aches and back pain.
- Vision changes such as a blue tinge or light sensitivity.
Seek urgent medical care for priapism (an erection lasting longer than four hours), sudden loss of vision or hearing, chest pain or fainting.
Who should not take it?
It must never be combined with nitrates such as GTN or isosorbide, with nicorandil, or with riociguat. Avoid it if you have had a heart attack or stroke within six months, or have very low blood pressure, severe liver disease or an inherited retinal disorder. Alpha-blockers require caution and usually a lower starting dose. Men with sickle cell anemia or a penile deformity should seek specialist advice. It is not for use by women.
