Description
Same active ingredient (sildenafil) as Viagra®, the US brand. Sildigra Soft 50 mg is an Indian brand, made and licensed in India.
About Sildigra Soft 50 mg
Sildigra Soft 50 mg is a prescription soft chewable tablet containing 50 mg of sildenafil citrate, supplied by Dharam Distributors, used to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men. The soft, flavored tablet can be chewed or allowed to soften in the mouth, and because 50 mg is the standard starting dose of sildenafil, it is a gentle first option for men who prefer not to swallow tablets.
This is an Indian generic that has not been licensed in the UK, EU or US; a doctor or pharmacist should confirm it suits you.
How does Sildigra Soft work?
Sexual arousal triggers the release of nitric oxide in the penis, which relaxes its arteries. Sildenafil stops the PDE5 enzyme from reversing that relaxation too quickly, so blood flow is maintained and an erection can be achieved and kept. The tablet will not produce an erection by itself, and it does not affect libido.
How to take Sildigra Soft 50 mg
- Chew one soft tablet, or hold it on the tongue until it softens, then swallow, around 30–60 minutes before sex.
- Water is optional, though it helps wash away the flavor.
- A heavy meal delays absorption; a light snack does not usually matter.
- Limit yourself to a single dose per day, whichever sildenafil product you use.
What to expect the first few times
Anxiety, tiredness and alcohol can all blunt the response, so the first attempt is not always representative. Doctors generally suggest trying a dose on several different occasions before deciding whether it works. If 50 mg is effective but side effects are bothersome, a 25 mg dose may be advised; if it is well tolerated but not enough, your prescriber may consider Sildigra Soft 100 mg.
What are the side effects?
The most frequent are headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal stuffiness and dizziness. Some men see a faint blue haze or have trouble telling blue from green for a few hours. Call emergency services for a painful erection lasting four hours or longer, abrupt loss of vision in one eye, a sudden drop in hearing, or chest pain.
Who should not take it?
- Men prescribed nitrates for chest pain, or who use amyl nitrite “poppers”.
- Anyone on riociguat for high blood pressure in the lungs.
- Men with unstable heart disease, a recent heart attack or stroke, or very low blood pressure.
- Men with severe liver impairment, retinitis pigmentosa or previous sudden optic nerve damage (NAION).
Tell your doctor about alpha-blockers, HIV protease inhibitors, azole antifungals and macrolide antibiotics, as these may call for a reduced dose. Sildenafil is not for women or anyone under 18.
Pack sizes and storage
